Our team DriverLeics has set up a track to collect data and try out self-driving functions of autonomous cars, which they are programming for the Audi Autonomous Driving Cup 2018. The first step was to put gym mats into place for the car to drive on.
The dimensions of the new track are 10m by 7m with various different road elements. We have experimented with spray painting and taping road markings. In conclusion, handling the tape was much more convenient.
The new track of team DriverLeics at University of Leicester features various elements from curves to T-crossings to 4-way-stops to pedestrian crossings.
